CAARE at ISPPP 2025 in Munich 🎉

The CAARE team was strongly represented at the 44th International Symposium on the Purification of Proteins, Peptides and Polynucleotides (ISPPP), held at Technical University of Munich, Campus Garching.

💡 Workshop highlight:
Our Project Coordinator Alois Jungbauer (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU)/acib GmbH) led a session on “Purification and characterization of viral cell and gene therapy vectors.”

🎤 Talks & contributions:
Patrícia Pereira Aguilar (acib GmbH) presented “Functionalized non-woven fibers for the harvest, clarification and purification of bionanoparticles”
Christoph Gstöttner (Roche, CAARE associate partner) spoke on “Analytical techniques for rAAV genome integrity and identity assessment”
Verena Beck (acib GmbH), our Project Manager, was part of the ISPPP Organizing Committee. 👏

🧪 Our Doctoral Candidates — Finja Probst, Markus Mozgovicz, and Guilherme Costa (all acib GmbH) — presented their research during the poster sessions.

Our project partners Jürgen Hubbuch (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Elena Dominguez Vega (Leiden University Medical Center) served as Session Chairs at ISPPP 2025, while Nico Lingg (acib GmbH/BOKU) acts as the CAARE contact person at BOKU and is a member of the Supervisory Board.
