Your scientific background/interests

I studied Life Science & Technology at TU Delft with a specialization in bioprocess engineering. I am particularly interested in applying computational approaches to tackle challenges in bioprocessing.

Your role in the CAARE project

In CAARE, my research topic is ‘Multisensory in-line PAT in DSP for in silico model-based process monitoring and control.’ This means coming years I will focus on the development of process analytical technologies that we can use to monitor virus-like particle integrity during downstream processing.

A hobby or interest outside of science

Outside of work I enjoy doing sports like running, cycling and field hockey as well as go out for food/drinks with friends.

Your favourite quote

If at first you don’t succeed, pipette again 🙂

Your spirit animal and why

The penguin is my spirit animal because it’s built for problem-solving. They couldn’t fly so they learned how to slide and swim instead!

My favorite lab gadget

The 96-well plate, I love games, and this is the ultimate memory test.
